MUMBAI, 5 MAY, 2025 (AMN): Mumbai’s Nehru Centre Art Gallery will come alive with Nandini Verma’s Symphony of Life exhibition, running from 6–12 May 2025, offering a vibrant exploration of life’s rhythms through her signature abstract-figurative fusion. Known for her Flow of Life (Jivan Dhara) and Bhakti series, Verma’s work bridges the earthly and spiritual, capturing the relentless yet harmonious currents of existence.
Drawing deeply from her Chhattisgarh roots, Verma’s acrylic canvases pulsate with rural motifs—swirling fields, monsoon skies, and folk symbolism—reimagined through a contemporary lens. Her Flow of Life series, a standout in her repertoire, uses kinetic brushstrokes and layered textures to mirror life’s unpredictability, where chaos and calm coexist. Verma describes each piece as a “visual hymn” to the interconnectedness of human experiences, from fleeting moments to enduring legacies.
Complementing this is her Bhakti series, which delves into spiritual devotion through meditative compositions. Here, Verma employs intricate textures and symbolic motifs—lots, flowing rivers, and celestial forms—to evoke transcendence, reflecting her belief in art as a pathway to the divine. “The Bhakti works are my dialogue with the infinite,” she shares, highlighting how her art merges the personal and the universal.
Verma’s accolades, including recognition from Galerie Onil and UNESCO-affiliated institutions, underscore her growing influence in contemporary art. This exhibition, free to the public, invites viewers to immerse themselves in her world of bold palettes and fluid forms. Whether through the dynamic energy of Jivan Dhara or the serenity of Bhakti, Verma’s work resonates with both seasoned collectors and casual observers, offering a space for reflection and connection.
Highlight: A blend of movement and stillness, celebrating life’s dualities through the lens of art and devotion.
For Verma, Symphony of Life is more than an exhibition—it’s an invitation to witness the beauty in life’s unending flow, where every stroke tells a story of resilience and reverence.
